Enhancing Readiness of ADB Developing Member Countries for Scaled Up Climate Finance

Close exchange with the GCF Secretariat as well as with other multilateral development banks and development partners accredited to the GCF has been helpful for understanding the investment criteria of climate financiers. The TA benefited from cofinancing by the NDF which was mobilized during TA implementation. Lessons learned and recommendations include (i) providing regular updates of project progress to potential cofinanciers; (ii) creating synergies with the activities, expertise, and networks of climate-focused cofinanciers; and (iii) communicating closely with cofinanciers during project implementation.
