Enhancing Readiness of ADB Developing Member Countries for Scaled Up Climate Finance

As a consequence of this TA, a cost center has been established in SDCD, which allows ADB, inter alia, to continue to develop project proposals for submission to GCF. ADB’s Pacific Regional Department has since implemented TAs that can support the generation of climate finance proposals in conjunction with ADB projects. It is recommended to put in place further measures—either through TA, trust funds, or other project preparatory and financing facilities—to enhance the capacity of ADB to provide support on an ad-hoc basis to planned or ongoing projects which require external concessional climate finance
