TA activities that include the development and deployment of training curricula should include measures to ensure that training modules are institutionalized before TA completion to support long-term sustainability. Output 3 focused on the capacity development of forestry professionals in forest seed stand management, and the TA succeeded in training almost 200 individuals. The TA design did not include plans to institutionalize these training modules for further use and replication. The project team overcame this to some extent by employing a training-of-trainers approach, but the TA would have been strengthened by planning to ensure that the training curricula developed was fully integrated into the forestry agency’s existing ongoing professional development activities.
