Establishment of formal partnerships to strengthen public–private partnerships (PPPs) will enhance the involvement of industries and employers in TVET. PPP plays an important role in helping TVET providers to improve the quality and relevance of TVET programs and in increasing the employment of TVET graduates. Although PPPs have already existed in the education sector, especially in TVET, the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) still needs to take a proactive approach to involve the private sector as valued partners in providing needed cooperation and support to TVET providers through various PPP initiatives. The government must also implement concrete policies and mandates to promote PPP with appropriate incentives and effective mechanisms.
