Effective Economic Management

Pooling together experts from the requesting government and counterpart experts from ADB in designing a TA project is critical to ensure the TA delivers planned results on time and in accordance with client’s needs and specifications. Despite that it was small-scale, the TA's design was appropriate to the pace of reforms in Uzbekistan and flexible enough to mobilize several experts and deliver the required knowledge products. However, the TA could have benefited from a more accurate assessment of the government's capacity to absorb policy advice and the pace of reforms in the country.
