Wider consultation with stakeholders is critical for preparing the project. The TA held consultations with two types of stakeholders: primary and secondary. The primary stakeholders were the initial stakeholders, such as displaced persons, public, and women who resided within or in the vicinity of the project areas. The public consultation comprised the local community and public. The secondary stakeholders were the representatives of government agencies who were involved in the planning, design, implementation, and operation of the project, including various government departments such as irrigation, revenue, forest, agriculture, communication and works, public health engineering, Water and Power Development Authority, and local government authorities.
