As part of the Gender-responsive Policy for Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the mandatory collection of sex-disaggregated data is included in the 2020 performance contracts signed by MOFALI with 21 aimags’ governors and heads of Food and Agriculture Departments. Evidence-based and targeted communication is key to raising awareness of gender equality issues. Usage of television and social media channels are effective for awareness-raising, but these need to be reinforced by more tailored community-based communication and stakeholder workshops to ensure that local stakeholders not only sustain a dialogue but also undertake concrete action to recognize and address them at households, schools, and workplaces.
