KazPost Financial Strengthening and Modernization

Kazpost was just one example of many unsuccessful ADB attempts in non-sovereign lending to Kazakhstan state owned enterprises from 2005–2010. The TA team (Central and West Asia Department/ Kazakhstan Resident Mission) and PSOD should have worked more closely in preparing the ensuing loan. Subsequently, enhanced collaboration of PSOD and Central and West Asia Department [was] further established, which resulted in the first loan to a state-owned enterprise, Samruk Energo, in 2017.
