South Asia Economic Integration Partnership

Partnership with United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) helped extensively to supplement the efforts in related activities under RETA 8619 and expand the capacity development on Bangladesh and Nepal. The cluster TA funded travel-related expenses of participants from Bangladesh and Nepal on the SASEC Cross-border Power Trade Development Study Tour held in Nord Pool Spot, Oslo, Norway, while RETA 8619 funded those of participants from other SASEC member countries. The development of the input database for Bangladesh and Nepal for the SASEC transmission master plan study conducted under RETA 8619 was also supported by the cluster TA.
