Project Number: 48469-001
Project Name: Developing Gross Ecosystem Product Accounting for Eco-Compensation
Report Date: 21 Dec 2020

Lesson
The request by the government for additional learning events demonstrated institutional interest. It would have been good to have more documentation on the extent to which the knowledge products were accepted and adopted by whom and for what purpose.

Project Number: 48469-001
Project Name: Developing Gross Ecosystem Product Accounting for Eco-Compensation
Report Date: 21 Dec 2020

Lesson
The GEP methodology will still need to be continuously improved for existing pilot sites to see how GEP accounting could be improved. GEP might be instrumental in evaluating the performance of eco-compensation programs but more studies are needed to fine tune the indicator. The GEP methodology could be furthe expanded into the comprehensive eco_x005F_x0002_compensation demonstration areas (e.g., Chongqing).
