Social Protection Support Project

To support an effective and sustainable exit strategy for beneficiaries, CCTs must strengthen the productive capacity of poor households. With the Philippines CCT law’s 7-year ceiling on duration of family participation,it will be important to communicate clearly with beneficiaries on their co-responsibilities and establish referral pathways. This requires close collaboration with other government agencies, civil society, and the private sector to link CCT beneficiaries with complementary programs such as technical and vocational education and training, economic inclusion (graduation approach),and entrepreneurship programs. ADB’s Expanded Social Assistance Project and associated TA support is helping build these linkages, including through the EA’s Sustainable Livelihoods Program.
