The TA project supported 19 DMCs (including subregional initiatives in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation, Greater Mekong Subregion, and the Pacific) in 11 sector or thematic areas through 67 activities during TA project implementation. It has received positive responses from ADB’s operational departments and DMCs, contributing to the mainstreaming ICT in ADB operations. In response to the growing demand for DT interventions in DMCs, the new regional TA project with the budget of $1.5 million on Digital Development Facility for Asia was processed and approved in 2019 to build the foundation for a comprehensive plan of actions to scale up ADB’s DT interventions for the implementation of Strategy 2030. Also, the new TA project will coordinate with a number of standalone TA projects and trust funds focusing on innovation and technologies that have been approved and are being processed. In this regard, the ICTD initiatives that the TA project had initiated can be sustainably continued for promoting innovation and technologies in ADB operations.
