Strengthening Capacity for Environmental-Economic Accounting

The TA project included a significant amount of well-targeted capacity building that was targeted to a wide range of agencies. That other agencies benefitted from this helped the EA build broader support for their work. The TA project has made a specific contribution to the development of new national or sector guidelines in developing the new methodologies and the data provided by the project will result in enhanced understanding of Mongolia’s environmental issues, enhancing how these can be managed in the future. The EA was also able to present its progress on this project at global forums, which has greatly enhanced the already strong reputation of the NSO.
